Tax Strategies for Indie Authors



Another good one from Publisher's Weekly (one of my favorite magazines/outlets for indie author info) about taxes.

Tax season is around the corner and they've come out with Tax Strategy 101 for Indie Authors, an article published Dec. 8.

“Authors have to think of themselves as a business -- you’re a creative artist, but you also need to remember that you’re in a business,” says Robert Pesce, a CPA and partner at Marcum, LLP in New York. “It’s essential to keep good records so you can get your taxes done efficiently and hopefully get the best possible result.”

Indie Author's Guide to Rights


Great article came out last week from Publisher's Weekly touching on the basic rights to watch out for in your self-publishing journey.
