The Last Order: Blog Tour Stop!

I'm so excited to be a blog tour stop for Angela Marie Caldwell's The Last Order.

For my stop, I wanted to learn more about the "why" of her story.

But first, a description of The Last Order:

And now the author's take on what brought about such an exciting story:

What inspired me to write The Last Order?

AMC: My degree is in video production and when I was in college I worked at a movie theater. I loved that job. I got free movie posters, free popcorn, and free movies, but I did have to clean the restrooms sometimes. Yuck! I love stories, and I watched movies all the time. After the film, A Knight's Tale released a flame inside took hold. I wished someone made a film with women knights. One where the men had failed to take care of the kingdom so the women had to kick butt and take names. Over the years, the story was discussed and imagined between my husband and I.  It was even a partial screenplay once. But with no money or connections to ever produce a film of this caliber on our own, I started thinking maybe, just maybe. This dyslexic girl, who had been told with a big fat D on the writing assignment she had worked the hardest on, could write a novel. Three years later, The Last Oder has been penned into a Young Adult novel that I wrote for me. Stories can go many ways in the end. I've finally set this novel free for you guys to read. I hope some of you love strong women who take a stand as much as I do.
